Life Summary of Mrs Adeline Afun-Ogidan

Mrs Adeline Bamidele Afun-Ogidan (nee) Ajayi Mrs Adeline was born on 14th August 1945 to Late Mr. J.O. Ajayi and Mrs M.K. Ajayi. She was married to Late Chief Albert Afun-Ogidan. She attended St. Luke's Primary School Ibadan and Yejide Girls Grammar School Ibadan for both her primary and secondary educations respectively. She later studied General Nursing in Cameroun and specialised in Psychiatric Nursing in England. In Nigeria, she worked at Niger Café and at Tate & Lyle and later went into business. She left Nigeria in 1989 and travelled to the UK. While in the UK, she worked at various establishments which include the following: Transport Police (Victoria Station) from 1989 - 1990. Park Lane Hotel from 1991 - 1992. Marie Currie from 2000 - 2002. Guy & St. Thomas Hospital. Care Nursing Agency, and St. Mungos until her death. She had a son Dotun Afun-Ogidan (Deceased). She also has a grandson Ayomide Afun-Ogidan. She just left Lagos on 27/12/08 after a three week holiday in Nigeria. An aged mother, Mrs M.K. Ajayi, Sister, Mrs M.O. Abei, brother, Mr Olu Ajayi, aunties, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends, survived her. Until her death, she worshiped at the New Covenant C & S Movement Church. She was a dedicated, sincere, and loving member of the church. We cannot forget her beautiful smile at all occasion. She was the Matron of Ephraim band and was the Matron of Joshua band for a very long time. She was also a member of Mary Band. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
